Pre-Surgical Lab Work- The anesthesia commonly used will be metabolized by the liver and kidneys of your pet. Pre-surgical lab work ensures that these organs are not compromised and lessens the anesthetic risks involved with surgery. Complete blood cell count is also ran to check for preexisting infection, anemia and platelet count. ($72.00 a savings of $52.00)

Surgical Laser- The surgical laser has several advantages. It cauterizes capillaries (decreasing bleeding), seals nerve endings decreasing pain) and seals lymphatic vessels (decreasing swelling) all while it cuts. All of which decreases healing time post surgery. ($35.00 for spay and neuter operations)

Intravenous Catheter/IV Fluids-Before surgery an IV catheter can be inserted so that quick access can be made to a vein during an emergency situation. Also, fluids can be administered during the surgery to maintain blood pressure during anesthesia. ($25.00)

In Heat/Pregnant Complications-Due to the excessive swelling and enlargement of the uterine and ovarian tissue extra time, effort and suture will be needed to ensure proper ligation of vascular tissue during surgery. ($100.00)

Histopathology- If we are extracting or removing a tumor from a pet it would be recommended that we do histopathology on the mass/tumor so that we can determine the type of tumor/mass it is and what we expect in the future after removal. In house pathology would be done first and if future diagnostics are required, we will send off to board certified pathologist. (In-house path. 75.00, Send out pathology- Consult with DVM for pricing)

Microchip-The ResQ Microchip that can be implanted under your pet’s skin will have no adverse effect on their health but would be invaluable if your pet gets lost. The animal shelter and other veterinary hospitals in town have microchip scanner, of which, would give the identity of your pet should it get lost and lose its collar. ($60)

Vaccines-Are all the vaccines up to date? If you would like we can review your pets’ chart and give any vaccines not up to date while your pet is under anesthesia, relieving any undue stress. (Cost depends on vaccines. See Annual Drop Off Form)

Intestinal Parasites-Would like for us to check for us check your pets for intestinal parasites and deworm depending upon the parasite screening result? (Cost of treatment dependent on size of your pet- parasite screen starts at $27.00)
