Our Staff

Jessica Love

Office Manager

I have had the privilege of being part of Carter County Animal Hospital since the day we first opened our doors in 2007. I have grown alongside the practice over the years and take great pride in the role I serve as Office Manager. Supporting our team and building lasting relationships with our clients and their pets is what I value most about my work. Being part of a place that cares so deeply about both people and animals is incredibly meaningful to me. Outside of the clinic, I cherish time watching my son run cross-country and play basketball, soaking up the sun at the lake or on the beach with my family, getting my hands dirty in the garden or flower beds, and working on home projects. I also love caring for my chickens, especially my two Silkies, Patsy and Geraldine, who bring a lot of personality to our little flock. At home, I have two very special companions. My dog, Pippi, came into my life when she was just a tiny puppy and she has been by my side ever since. My cat, Three-Feet, quite literally chose us, showing up at our home with a story of her own. She may only have three feet, but she has more than enough personality to make up for it. Being part of Carter County Animal Hospital for so many years has truly been an honor, and I am grateful every day to serve our community, our clients, and their beloved pets.

Haley Lee

My name is Haley Lee. I began my career in animal care as a kennel technician for my first job at 16 years old. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for helping animals and take great pride in making a difference in their lives every day. I also truly value how much I have learned along the way, both professionally and personally. Outside of work, I enjoy doing anything outside including hiking, kayaking, and camping- especially when I can bring my family along. I share my adventures with my husband and our three pets: Enid a Rottweiler mix; Banjo, an Australian Kelpie; and Goober our cat. I love what I do and can’t imagine myself doing anything different.

Heather McCabe

Veterinary Assistant

Hello, my name is Heather McCabe. I’ve been working as a veterinary assistant since December of 2020, and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. I moved to Oklahoma in 2018 from Buffalo, Texas and I’m so glad I did. Every day brings something new-whether it’s helping with treatments, comforting nervous pets, or being a steady support for worried owners. I’m known for keeping things light with a little humor (because, let’s be honest, sometimes you need it in this field), but my heart is always full in what I do. I care deeply about every animal that walks through the door and treat them like they’re my own. Veterinary medicine isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Being able to make even the smallest difference in an animal’s life- or bring comfort to the people who love them- is what keeps me going. I’m someone who finds joy in the simple things- spending quality time with my family, making memories with friends, and soaking up every moment outdoors. Whether I’m at the lake or just enjoying fresh air and sunshine, being outside is where I feel most at home.

Brooklyn Selph

Veterinary Assistant

Hi! My name is Brooklyn and I’m a veterinary assistant. I grew up in Moore, Oklahoma. Animals have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I have been lucky enough to turn that love into a career as a veterinary assistant. I’ve been in veterinary medicine since I was 16, starting out as a kennel attendant and a receptionist while learning to be a veterinary assistant. Whether I’m helping in the clinic or comforting a nervous patient, I am all about making animals feel safe, cared for, and loved. Outside of the clinic, I spend my free time hiking, kayaking, and rescuing animals in need. I also run what can only be described as a zoo. My crew consists of my dogs Luke, Bella, and Spike, my cats Harley and Lily, my macaws Bogey and Fletcher, and my snakes Noodle and Goose, my chinchilla Gus, Leonardo the bearded dragon, and Spider the tarantula, along with a donkey named Moose. Caring for such a wide variety of animals has given me a deep appreciation for each species’ unique personality, needs and quirks. For me it isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle built around compassion, dedication and a whole lot of animals.

Camille Jones

Veterinary Assistant

I was born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma where I grew up surrounded by a large, close-knit family that has always been an important part of my life. From a young age, I developed a deep love for animals having been raised around cats, dogs, cows, and horses. Those early experiences shaped my passion and made it clear to me that I wanted to pursue a career working with animals and helping care for them. I took the first step toward that goal by attending Murray State College, where I earned my veterinary assistant certificate in May of 2025. A few months later, in September, I began working at Carter County Animal Hospital. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported, and it quickly became more than just a workplace to me. Every day I enjoy being part of a team that feels like family where everyone works together and supports one another to provide the best care possible. I am grateful to be doing what I love, and I take pride in continuing to grow in a career that allows me to make a difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them.

Kirstie Owens

Lead Client Service Representative

Hi, I’m Kirstie Owens. I was born and raised right here in Ardmore and graduated from Plainview High School. I joined Carter County Animal Hospital in the fall of 2015 as a part-time kennel technician, working afternoons caring for and cleaning up after our patients. It didn’t take long for my role to grow. I soon transitioned to morning shifts and then into a full-time position, gaining hands-on experience assisting doctors and working directly with patients and clients. Over time, I stepped into my current position as Lead Client Service Representative, where I help support both our clients and our team each day. While my position is now less hands-on clinically, I’m always happy to jump in wherever I’m needed. I find it just as rewarding to be part of the experience that our clients and their pets have when they walk through our doors. The people I work with have truly become like a second family to me, and I can’t imagine my life without them.
